We’re excited to connect with mr H.E. Park Yongho, Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Young Generation to explore collaboration opportunities and grow our network in Korea. Mr Park is visiting the Netherlands to learn from and be inspired by the Dutch startup ecosystem and the innovative economy. The ambassador was accompanied by the Korean startup INGINE, which engaged in matchmaking with Dutch VC’s, accelerators and clean energy startups. Next, he will travel to Brussels, Belgium, where he will end his visit with a meeting with HRH Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands, who will succeed Mrs. Neelie Kroes as Special Envoy of Startup Delta 2020 per 1 July 2016.
Jochem, our Global Director, had dinner with mr Park on Monday June 21 where they talked about the Dutch startup ecosystem and its key success factors. On June 21st, Mr Park visited our global office, where we explored possibilities to work together. The first steps are already made: Mr Park is involved as a mentor in DOT (Global winner of Get in the Ring ’15/’16), and we will visit South Korea again in September of this year!
