Potential POC, Ecosystem Solutions, Learning Opportunities, Impactful Collaborations & Funding Deadline passed

Hyundai Motor Group is establishing HMGICs (Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore) to accelerate its innovation efforts for the human-centered mobility ecosystem. HMGIGs will be used as a steppingstone for developing new future mobility while collaborating with multiple innovation ecosystems in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation(HMC)(KIA) are on a mission to transform the ecosystem of Smart Factories, Smart Cities, Logistics and Mobilities.
At (HMC) & (KIA), we believe innovation happens through active collaboration with startups and scaleups with innovative technologies. For ‘Accelerate the future challenge’, we are looking for startups with a mission to make a global impact by delivering their technologies and accelerate the transition to new technologies faster and better.

THE CHALLENGE

Smart Cities

Together with Unknown Group, Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation want to further their collaboration with innovative startups and scaleups globally and engage business units to launch business-impacting collaborations within the Smart Cities domain. A Smart City uses robotics and information & communication technology (ICT) to improve operational efficiency, share information with the public and provide a better quality of government service and citizen welfare through technological advancements.

This challenge is an opportunity for proven Smart Cities technologies to work alongside HMC (Kia) and together accelerate their impact. These technologies include: Autonomous Drone/EV/PMV Charging Station, Eco-friendly Robots, Robots for Indoor Services, Bi-directional Autonomous Vehicles.

Smart Factories

Together with Unknown Group, Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation are looking for innovative startups and scaleups to launch PoCs in the Smart Factory domain. The Smart Factory is a concept for digitization in manufacturing industries. Picture a digitized shop floor that continuously collects and shares data through connected machines, devices, and production systems to improve and streamline everything happening throughout the manufacturing process.

This challenge is an opportunity for proven Smart Factory technologies to work alongside HMC Kia on accelerating the impact of their solution on the larger market. These technologies include: Machine Learning & Computer Vision, Digital Twins, Cobots, Wiring Harness Improvements, Wireless Transmission.

Logistics & Mobility

Hyundai Motor Company and Kia, together with Unknown Group are scouting for innovative startups and scaleups to launch PoCs in the Logistics & Mobility domains. Both domains are of high interest globally, where electrification, “as a service” business models and data analytics all present great opportunities for innovation and growth.

Successful PoCs with these companies can lead to deeper collaboration with Hyundai Glovis, with solutions revolving around areas such as: First, Middle & Last Mile, Fulfillment Center Innovation, Customs & Regulations, Sales, Demand & Inventory Forecasting, Hydrogen & EV Fueling Station, Car as a Service.
