Get in the Ring together with EIT Food Accelerator Network is looking for impactful agrifood and foodtech startups that would like to contribute to shaping the future of nutrition and provide healthy, personalised food options for our growing population. Work with partners like Döhler, Givaudan, PepsiCo, ICL, HLP and DSM.

 

 

The future for food presents challenges and opportunities regarding both the quality and quantity of our nutrition. Consumers seek personalised solutions for their nutritional needs that allow for customisation and transparency.

 

The increasing awareness of the effect of our nutrition on our health is changing the way we select and consume food. It is evolving towards a healthier way of utilising new sources, such as plant-based ingredients, fibers, functional proteins, sweetening alternatives, and peptides.

 

More people are looking for functional food that supports improving everyday diets, personal resistance levels and the immune system. Innovative solutions should help consumers live a healthier life, by reducing risks of lifestyle diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes.

We are looking for ventures that are shaping the future of nutrition by providing healthy, personalized food options for our growing population in the following solution directions.

 

New sugars

Novel ingredients and technologies to create or enable healthy sweetening (sugar) alternatives/solutions

Plant-based solutions

Looking for plant based and alternative ingredients for healthier nutrition

Novel processes

Food genetics and biotechnologies to create new, healthy foods and proteins

Personalized nutrition

Personalised nutrition solutions that will allow for mass consumption

Data gathering and analysis

Solutions that allow to gather and analyse consumer data, as well as solutions that directly support and influence consumer behaviour

Additional requirements

  • Your solution should be at (pre) seed stage with some indication of traction (e.g. LoIs, sales, letters of support)

  • You should be registered in Europe or the 11 associated countries (i.e. Iceland, Norway, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Israel, Moldova, Switzerland, Faroe Islands, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Tunisia, Georgia, Armenia)
