Eco-Type is a renewable energy startup that provides inexpensive, efficient, and non-intrusive electricity. The startup was founded as a result of a significant problem in the green energy market- the current technologies are very impractical and do not produce enough energy. Solar energy, the leaders in the market, have panels that are simply too large, and take a significant amount of space while only producing electricity at times of high light intensity. While wind energy does produce a significant amount of electricity, it cannot be used in resident areas- only windy areas will suffice. After discussing the problem for months, we found a solution- ourselves. The human body can produce a remarkable amount of energy- approximately a 100 watts, in fact. So why, instead of using electricity to generate heat, use heat to generate electricity? Instead of using sources such as the sun and the wind, why not take advantage of the fact that the average human emits heat for all 24 hours of the day, all of which can be converted into electricity? Upon developing this product, we created a device that worked much better than we initially expected- a slim device(slimmer than an iPhone) that can be placed anywhere where heat can be produced to generate electricity. We then created the first Eco-Type module- Model A which is able to produce electricity by temperature differences. It will not only be the first module that can produce electricity in our everyday lives using thermal conversions, but also in a non-intrusive manner. We hope to receive funding, increase our publicity, and collaborate with potential investors. We will then funnel the funds on manufacturing and research and development to allow us to expand Eco-Type into a successful startup.
