At Orca, we want hundreds of thousands of people to have an ecological adventure that connects their heart to the ocean.  Secondly, the business model of Orca is ready to set sail into new frontiers. Diving is a perfect sport/hobby for many successful and influential people (and their families) however there is no large scale luxury diving brand in the world.  The dive certification business PADI was recently sold for $700M. This represented a staggering valuation of 4X annual revenue (not profit) of $175M. One reason for this valuation is that PADI is largely unchallenged in the market.  This is the equivalent of Holiday Inn being the only hotel provider, Ford being the only car company or United being the only airline in the world. This especially makes no sense at the luxury end of the market. A person who drives a BMW, flies Singapore Airlines and holidays with their family at Four Seasons Hotels does not have a high-end provider to go diving with or to certify themselves or their family to dive.  Since 2015, Orca has experienced a wave of interest in our luxury diving holidays and certifications. Our revenues have doubled year-upon-year and the tide is showing no signs of going back.  Imagine for a moment what it would be like to be diving upon a beautiful wreck and you suddenly discover a treasure chest before your eyes. As you open it up, you realise your tanks are running low on air and you'll have to risk losing it as you resurface. That is the feeling we have at Orca, we've discovered a massive opportunity to build a successful business and to protect the oceans but we are constrained by cash.  In this investor memorandum you'll see that we are raising an angel investor round of $1.8M to propel our growth. We have already projecting $1.8M+ annual revenue in 2017-18 and if we were valued the same way PADI is, we would be worth $18M. Fortunately for our investors, we have arrived at a more modest valuation and we have a lot more growth potential than PADI.
