Traditionally Antwerp is known as a Port city, it is the second largest container port in Europe. It's also known for its diamonds and fashion. But next to these things, the City of Antwerp has been firmly committed to foster ecosystems for innovation, in the areas of digital innovation, sustainable chemistry and creative industries. No wonder the Startup Ecosystem in Antwerp is developing rapidly, over the past years the amount of start-ups and scaleups in Antwerp doubled. Antwerp is now home to highly innovative businesses and with 171 nationalities that live in Antwerp, it is above all a very diverse, and international city.

Antwerp aspires to be a Top 10 European scale-up city. Over the next five years, they have pledged to help Antwerp-based startups develop into scale-ups. Finalists gain access to our Champion Jury Members and networks of corporates and government organizations.

Get in the Ring Global Meetup
The Global Meetup is the final of the Global Startup Competition of Get in the Ring. In the past, the event has been hosted in cities such as Medellin to Berlin and from Cascais to Singapore. This year, Global Meetup will be in Montréal, Canada in February 2021.
The winner of this event will win full sponsorship for 1 person to attend the Global Meetup.
