FAQs – Bayer Foundation Women Empowerment Award

The Bayer Foundation Women Empowerment Award 2022 rewards 5 female entrepreneurs with a 25,000 EUR cash prize each and enrollment of 24 weeks in the Bayer Foundation acceleration program.

If you are part of the 20 finalists, you get access to the finalist program of the event: you can follow the Award’s webinar, the roundtable and the pitch training workshop.

The award follows the following selection criteria:

●  There needs to be at least one woman among the founders of the organization/startup/association
●  Applying startups need to be in the domain of Health and/or nutrition
●  They need to have customers/users already
●  They need to have a good level of English

The participant must have a good level of English to be able to pitch their project to Bayer Foundation and to communicate with them about future scaling opportunities if they win.

In order to be selected for the award, applicants must have their activities in Sub-Saharan Africa. If you don’t live there but your organization/startup is active in Sub-Saharan Africa, you can apply.

You remain the owner of the rights of your solution. If you win and get into the Bayer Foundation acceleration program, your solution’s rights are your own.
