Get in the Ring joins forces with YES!Delft for the EdTech Validation Lab to improve the education system. Together with The Acceleration Plan Education Innovation with ITC, VSNU, Surf, and Vereniging Hogescholen we’re looking for innovative EdTech startups ready to scale.


In the first edition of the EdTech Validation Lab, three top universities from the Netherlands: Delft University of Technology, Leiden University, and Erasmus University Rotterdam, joined forces with YES!Delft, PLNT Leiden, and ECE Rotterdam to positively impact the education system from K-12 to higher education.


This year, every education institute in the Netherlands have joined forces and are giving startups a chance to launch their business through the EdTech Validation Lab with academic experts from corporate partners such as Amazon Web Services.


The Acceleration Plan Educational Innovation with ICT is a collaboration of the Association of Universities in the Netherlands, The Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences, and SURF to maximise the opportunities technology offers high education so we can improve the connection to the job market, make education more flexible and to learn smarter and better with the use of technology.

The education system is ever changing. EdTech is one of the fastest growing industries with data-rich educational platforms being adopted more and more, and a huge growth in investments.  Therefore, they’re joining forces to innovate together and have a positive impact on the whole education system. Selection of top mentors and partners


You should

  • Have a brilliant idea, innovation, prototype or demonstrator

  • Be willing to be present (with part of your team) in the Netherlands for a period of 10 weeks

  • Have two or more founders




The deadline for applications is September 20th.


Nominated startups will be invited for a skype call on October 8th to discuss the fit to the program in more detail.
