THE CHALLENGE
The second edition of the European wide New Energy Challenge is a tough competition that measures and pushes the boundaries of the promise and the proof of early stage startups active in energy transition. Especially startups working at the crossroad of integrated energy solutions and Smart Energies, reducing the climate impact in a future energy system.
The New Energy Challenge 2017 raises the bar and calls for the best, potentially game changing solutions of startups to come forward and work with Shell. Shell is a strong believer of cooperation when aiming for a fully functioning zero-carbon energy system over time, which can only succeed when working together.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
€100,000 convertible loan from Shell Technology Ventures;
Runner-ups will enter the Rockstart or YES!Delft accelerator program and a cash prize.
Exclusive coaching from Shell experts for at least a year;
Access to Shell’s global network;
ADDITIONAL CRITERIA
Your solution should be:
globally deployable within the next 2 years;
focused on the transition to new energy, with an explanation how Shell connects to this solution
ADDITIONAL CRITERIA
Your startup should:
be a registered company, equivalent to the Dutch B.V. (eg UK - Ltd. Plc. , Germany - GmbH A.G.)
have at least 2 founders
be launched less than 5 years ago
be registered in Europe or Israel

DEADLINE APPLICATIONS
Deadline for completed entries is July 19th, 2017.
'RAISE THE BAR' WEEK
The top20 finalists will be invited to join the finals week from September 24th-28th in Amsterdam, The Netherlands - as an integral part of StartupFest 2017.
FINALE
The top-10 finalists will be doing their final pitch before the jury - who will then decide the Winner oF the New Energy Challenge 2017.
