Winning titles of Morocco goes to…

On the 24th of October the most promising Moroccan startups came together at the Technopark in Casablanca, Morocco. The Get in the Ring final was the climax of the Startup Maroc Championship weekend. The founder of Get in the Ring, Hendrik Halbe co-hosted the event along with Chafik Sabiry, who was also a jury member during the day.

The knowledgeable jury members included: Hicham Zanati Serghini, Ismail Douiri, Khalil Jai Hokimi, Labri Benrazzouk and Omar Tazi. They had the difficult task to chose out of the 200 applications, 8 startups who had the opportunity to compete for the winning titles of Get in the Ring National Final in Morocco. The two innovative startups which won the competition were LIK (lightweight winner), a startup that develops a smartphone that gives you free phone credit in exchange of non invasive ads, and Linkry (middleweight winner) a startup who helps you make data driven decisions, for a better event experience.

Not only do they get the winning titles, but also received special prizes, the winners receive flight and hotel tickets to Medellin for attending the Global Entrepreneurship Congress. The startups also won mentoring and coaching for the regional finals. Now let’s see how far they go when they compete in the Regional Final for a chance to represent the North Africa Region in the International Final in March.
