Hyperverge and DOT Winners of Get in the Ring Eastern Asia

The second Regional Final of Get in the Ring hosted by Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation (KEF) was held on the 21st of January at one of the startups hotspots in Seoul: TIPS TOWN. National winners of South Korea, Japan, India and Mongolia battled for the champion title of Eastern Asia.  

In the first battle the Japanese delivery app Rober competed against the Indian startup Hyperverge which helps you organize all your pictures with their app Silver. After five rounds, Hyperverge came out victorious!

The South Korean startup Globee introduced their matching app to connect students to native-tongue tutors and pitched against the Mongolian startup FlashDrive, a company that informs about the traffic situation by using CCTV cameras and video processing. In the end of the battle, Globee defeated FlashDrive with their freestyle in the final round.  

After two lightweight battles the champions David Oh (CEO of Seoul Networks), Aviram Jenik (CEO of Beyond the Security) and Martin Luxemburg (Director of the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship) deliberated which team represented the most promising of Eastern Asia. The lightweight championship crown was giving to Hyperverge.

In the middleweight competition three startups went head-to-head against each other in the Ring:  the Indian startup with the largest video content platform for all your healthcare questions – Doctors’ Circle, the Japanese startup TeamOn, a cloud service for all your teamwor, and  DOT a South Korean company that designed a braille smartwatch, which gives blind people access to affordable education and effective communication all competed.  DOT was awarded the middleweight title with their innovative idea.  

Along with a ticket to Medellín for the International Final of Get in the Ring, lightweight winner Hyperverge and middleweight winner DOT won 1500 euro in cash. Do you want to support these winners in Medellín? Register here for a ticket to the International Final!
