The most efficient way possible you say? Indeed! The time to drink endless amounts of coffee is over, it’s time to do business. This starts with directly talking to the right people, without dozens of calls, LinkedIn messages and email introductions. That’s why we Match up and you can decide within 10 minutes if a follow-up is relevant.

The Matchups aren’t an unfamiliar phenomenon, as we organized it a lot of times. The 10-minute speed dates are set up through personal requests and the Get in the Ring smart matching tool, based on preferences such as market, company phase, etc. After fine tuning this, we decided to go big at Get in the Ring the Netherlands last November. Over 600 dates took place between 300+ startups and 50 corporates, NGOs, investors and governments. The room was buzzing with business and as Marios Chryssolouris, Co-Founder & CEO of Fresh Strips stated:

I did one month of work in only one afternoon!”

This is exactly the goal of the Matchups, as we believe that startups and corporates should work together more, and every collaboration starts with a first introduction. The 10-minute conversation is just the right amount of time to know whether a follow up would be fruitful. As Peter Navarro, Global Open Innovation Manager of FrieslandCampina stated:

“Within the 10 minutes of the Matchup, you know whether a startup might be interesting for you, and you can plan a follow-up”
