On November 15th Premier ABC venue in Khartoum was about to be rocked as Sudanese startups put the gloves on, ready to battle.  The event promised to be amazing with a mix of more than 300 corporates, startups and visitors coming to see the hottest Sudanese solutions.

After a 2-day boot camp, 10  startups were selected to pitch in the ring. It was an amazing opportunity for the Sudanese startups to battle their ideas against each other and to receive an expert feedback from the Champion jury. This year was comprised of professionals from different spheres like Ahmed Sufian (Techstars), Badr (GIAD), Ali Amin (Bank of Khartoum); Omer Omerabi, (EBS); Magdi Taha (Zain).

THE WINNERS
Women seemed to take over the ring in the first couple of rounds. It was a great way to show the audience that women are not only innovative but good entrepreneurs as well. After 5 battles and knockout pitches, 2 startups proved to have the best solutions in the ring.

Filmedia Entertainment wants to improve the Sudanese media and bring it to international level. The startup provides a platform in which people can create vines and do script writing. To put it shortly Filmedia is here to disrupt the old-fashioned media and put a little spice into it.

Wain finder serves as foursquare but in Sudanese terms. It helps you find the closest restaurants, shopping centers, schools etc in major Sudanese cities. The startup plans to be the biggest website of its kind in Sudan and to move outside the borders of the country.
