The first local final in the UK: London

The first UK finals of international pitching competition Get in the Ring took place on Monday 2 November at WeWork Moorgate. A bustling crowd of entrepreneurs, investors and start-up enthusiasts saw some great UK start-ups from sectors as diverse as Healthcare, Robotics, Music and Photography pitch their business to the Champion judges from Ariadne Capital, WhiteSpaceVC and Business Angels Finance International (BAFI). They ultimately chose Choosic, ZipCube and The Selfcare People as the big winners of the night.

Choosic is an application where you can find the songs you love. Swipe right to like and left to dislike. The next winner Zipcube makes it easy for you to book your meeting space online. And last but not least, The Selfcare People brings data from all your health and fitness wearable, devices, sensors and its apps into one place to proactively manage and get meaningful insights into your health and wellness. These 3 startups will go on to compete in the Get in the Ring UK National Final to be held on 20 November at Skills Matter – CodeNode, in the City of London, where they will battle against new competitors to be named UK winner of Get in the Ring. The winners of the UK National Final will get to represent the UK during the European Finals of this unique global pitching competition in 2016.
