Buzz in Palestine’s Entrepreneurial Community around Get in the Ring

We are proud to announce that this year the first edition of Get in the Ring Palestine takes place on 19th of November. Despite economic restrictions and the current political situations, there’s a buzz in Palestine’s entrepreneurial community around the country’s first Get in the Ring event.

It’s fair to say this Final is a showcase of resilience and this event is an example of cooperation in all sectors to support entrepreneurship: non-governmental organizations, development agencies, incubators, investors, private companies, government ministries, professional training institute and universities.

The startup applications came from all over Palestine in a wide variety of economic sectors with approximately 30% of the applications coming from the Gaza Strip. The selected Palestinian startups will be competing in 3 different weight classes: light-, middle- and heavyweight. There will only be 3 national winners who have the honour to represent their country in the Regional Finals in Saudi Arabia. Along with tickets to the Regional Final, the winners receive some special prizes which include: free laptops, free workspace in local co-working space, acceleration in local accelerator programs and free training in communication and presentation skills.
