Kikaboni Winner of the First Edition of Get in the Ring Dominican Republic

Ministerio de Industria y Comercio hosted the first edition of Get in the Ring Dominican Republic in Santo Domingo on Friday the 13th of November. The moderator of the event – Christopher Cruz – made the event one show that you couldn’t miss!

More than 50 startups applied for the competition, making Get in the Ring popular amongst the entrepreneurial community in the Dominican Republic. Out of all these startups applications only 8 startups were selected to battle in front of the champion jury and the enthusiastic fans. The jury consisted of experienced members of the community: José Luis Infante, Luis Manuel Pellerano, Maria Virginia Elmúdesi, Carlos Jiménez and Juan Carlos Pérez. They had a tough job to select one winner as the most promising startup of the Dominican Republic.

The judges considered the vote of the fans and held a deliberation to select the winner…and finally choose their winner: Kikaboni. This startup has an innovative brand of rich, nutritious, and healthy snacks that will help you stay in shape or lose weight. We look forward to seeing them compete at the Regional Final in Mexico.
