Get in the Ring Germany took place on 20th November on the startup exhibition -Die Initiale- in Dortmund. The screening of all the applications was done by our host E-ffektiv and Ruhrpottstartups. The selected startups were: myNoise, Manugoo, goedle.io, Scavix, Solvoluta and Restube. These startups had the opportunity to battle against each other to compete for a spot in the Regional Final of Western Europe in London.
A championship jury consisting of Nadja Kothe (model entrepreneur of 2011 by the Federal Ministry of Economics), Nico Hemmnann (Seed Capital Dortmund) and Horst Hartung (BPG in Düsseldor) deliberated on the outcome of each battle and in the end chose the final 3 winners.
The winner in the lightweight category is MyNoise Three Winning Startups in Germany. MyNoise has developed an individual, frequency-specific acoustic therapy for chronic tinnitus. Scavix with the product PhoneMondo is the middleweight winner. PhoneMondo is a cloud CTI system that connects to various data sources to look up information about the caller and show relevant information to you so that you can decide if you want to pick up the call. The winner of the heavyweight category is Solvoluta. Solvoluta is creating a harmless anti-adhesive coating that can make anything a defensive barrier only for slugs, so in the future gardening is possible without pesticides. We will see these three startups battle in the Regional Final in London to represent Germany in our global competition.
