On 14th of November entrepreneurs from ICT & Creative Industries were called for action! Get in the Ring Romania gathered startups in search of the next hot solution.
8 startups were preselected to pitch in the ring during the day. All of them needed to be extra convincing to impress the Champion jury. This year members of it were part of the creative industries and the entrepreneurship world. Camelia Sucu (owner of Iconic Health), Alex Moise (owner Mosetti), Razvan Crisan (co-founder of Asociatia ORICUM), Andrei Bortun (owner of The Institute) and Dora Surugiu (The Entrepreneurship academy).
The battles were prevailed by different creative solutions, but the winner of the night was ReFlex. ReFlex is part of the emerging technology in physical therapy and rehabilitation. With the help of a motion detection solution, it can track the movement of the body and provide a lot of benefits to PT. Your therapist can track if you are doing your exercises right at home or out in nature. They are trying to change the way people recover from injuries.
The Champion jury made up their mind about the absolute winner but other startups were notable as well!
Mesteshukar ButiQ – provides lifestyle products with a story using a centuries old technique and contemporary design.
Fabulous Baskets – produces gift baskets containing traditional products of great quality.
Nod – materials is creating the first materials library in Romania.
BioFarmingManager – smart management software Tools designed to help organic farmers take educated decisions.
Aiception – is offering deep learning as a service through an API. It is fast, simple, scalable, with specially trained models at an affordable price.
Leea Toys – invented a multi-functional furniture/toy for children from 6 months to 6 years, that transforms into different shapes. Printoteca gave the knockout pitch and won the battle.
Printoteca – gathers the best printing solutions – rolls of stickers, framed canvas, shirts, canvas shopping bags.
