After a vibrant ‘15/’16 edition, London is determined to make this one even better! On Wednesday June 22nd Get in the Ring London kicked off its competition with the first selection of startups for the London final at the new Alphabeta building, home of Huckletree.

 

The Champion Jury Members had a hard job deciding who was the winner, because after a day of workshops and trainings the 6 startups were all determined to deliver that knock-out pitch!

 

Finally, Roderick Beer, Strategic Relations Director at UKBAA; Gabriela Hersham, CEO and Co-founder at Huckletree; Susan Simnett, Angel Investor and Director at Wilmington Investment and Eden Dwek from KPMG High Growth Technology Group decided on the following winners:

 

Battle 1 – Owiwi

Owiwi is a SaaS provider that aims to shape the future of talent recruitment through gaming.

 

Battle 2 – Thriva

Thriva’s mission is to help users track a range of internal blood indicators associated with their health through a home finger-prick kit and eventually improve their health.

 

Battle 3 – ZigZag Global

ZigZag Global is an award-winning returns portal that helps retailers implement greener and more cost effective return solutions for their products.

 

ZigZag CEO Al Gerrie about their experience at Get in the Ring:

The winning startups will compete in the next London event to secure a place in the Global Final of Get in the Ring!
