EY Colombia will be joining the Get in the Ring Foundation as partner of the International Final in Medellin from the 14th to the 18th of March 2016. The partnership is aimed at creating additional opportunities for startups that want to expand their reach to Colombia and South America.
The Get in the Ring International Final is the flagship event of the foundation and a culmination of a year-long global startup challenge. After national and regional rounds in more than 80 countries, 22 startups have been selected for this final round. During the 4-day program startups will receive training, have network sessions, pitch in front of investors and business leaders, and participate in an award show where the winners of the international title will be announced. These startups will go through a final selection round in Medellin where they will be joined by 10 promising Colombian startups.
EY will support Get in the Ring in training the finalists, giving feedback and selecting the final winners. Ruta-N and Creame will be joining EY and Get in the Ring, aiming to make valuable connections for all participating startups.

The award show of the International Final will be held at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress at Plaza Mayor on the 15th of March. During the award show the last 6 finalists will battle against each other in an actual ring where they will be judged by high-profile jury members such as Luz María Jaramillo (partner EY Colombia), Verne Harnish (Founder Entrerepreneurs Organization), Ingrid Vanderveldt (Empowering a Billion Women), Andres Barreto (Socialatom Ventures), Fatih Kayaoglu (former MD ID&T).
